About the Buttons
KoolKat is designed so you can do most things without ever using the menus. The Navigate, Find, Help, Views, and Copy buttons appear in all four view windows. The New and Delete buttons are only available in the 1-Up and Crop views. Below is a brief description of the button groups. Clicking on any of the button groups above will show you more detailed information for those specific buttons.
Navigate - Moves you through the records in the catalog.
Find - "Word" lets you s
earch the name and notes fields for records that contain a specific word or words. "All" will "un-hide" any records that were hidden during a word search.
Help - "Help" takes you to the main help screen.
Views - These 4 buttons let you view the images in different window sizes. You can view them 4 at a time, 2 at a time, 1 at a time, or, the top left corner of 1 at a time (cropped).
Copy - "Copy" copies the current record's image to the clipboard (computer's memory).

Now you can browse through the "Found" records for the image you're looking for. When your done with your "Find", you will want to use the "All" button which is described below.

About KoolKatB
Recent computer operating systems and many software programs support "Drag & Drop". With Drag & Drop, you can select an image in one program
s document and drag it to another program
s document. This doesn't work with all programs, but where it does, it's really cool!
Here's how:
1. You need to have both the program you want to copy the image into and KoolKat both running at the same time. You also need to resize the windows for both programs so that you can see the picture in KoolKat that
you want to drag and at least a portion of the other program
s document that you want to drop the image onto.
2. Bring KoolKat to the front. (Make it the active program.)
3. Locate the image in KoolKat that you want to drag and drop into your other program's document. Put your mouse arrow over the middle of the image, then click and hold down the mouse button.
4. Continue to hold down the mouse button and drag the mouse on top of the document where you want to drop the image.
5. With the
mouse pointer over the document, release the mouse button and the image will be copied from KoolKat to the other program's document!
Important! - The Drag & Drop feature requires these 3 things in order to work: 1. Your computer's operating system and the program you are using must both support drag & drop. 2. The image must be of a compatible graphics format for KoolKat and the program you are dragging from. 3. The image's file size cannot be so big that KoolKat cannot accept the imagD
